Here is list of abortion-related websites you can use to test whether you've set up your DNS filters correctly.

NOTE: Suppose you visit the first entry on the list (abortion-clinic-boston.com) and the website loads. You make some adjustments to your setup, and visit the same website again, but you are dismayed to see that the page STILL loads - so you think the change you made did not work! This is not necessarily true.

Once you've visited a website successfully the first time, your browser typically adds the IP address where that website "lives" to a short-term memory bank called the "DNS browser cache". So, the next time you attempt to visit that site, your browser won't necessarily consult the FreeFiltering DNS servers - instead, your browser will see if it already has the IP address for the requested website "on file" in its DNS cache; if it does, the browser will send you to the cached IP address (i.e. the website will still load, even though you've adjusted a DNS setting).

For this reason, we recommend attempting to visit each site on the below list only ONCE, after making a change you want to test. Once you've got your DNS set up correctly, you should be able to go down through the list clicking and see each site is successfully blocked.

In the future, if you make a change to your FreeFiltering settings by blocking or unblocking a website or category, and the change doesn't seem to take effect, it's most likely been caused because of DNS caching.

You'll want to "flush / clear the DNS cache".
